It feels a little weird to be thinking ahead to Christmas in September but hey, here we are. I've been getting a lot of enquiries about the next fair, so it's about time we started booking it!
The Christmas Craft Fair will be on Saturday 10th December from 11am until 4pm at The Kenilworth Hall, Penge and the theme will be REINDEERS!
The theme of course is just for fun but if you feel like working the reindeer theme into any of your crafts then that would be excellent. I am looking forward to getting lots of reindeer decorations!

I have decided to make the rules for booking stalls at the fair REALLY simple. I did float the idea of having half tables but it put some people off. So I have decided that if you want a whole table you can have it! And if you want a half table you can have it. Both subject to availability. I'm not going to book double tables this time though, as I want to give everyone the chance to have a stall - we only have room for 20 whole tables in the hall.
A whole table will be £10 and a half table will be £5. If you want to join up with a friend/relative/collaborator and have half a table each then that's fine too - make sure you let me know so I can put you together.
No booking forms but when you e-mail, please include your name, the name of your business if you have one, your contact phone number and preferred e-mail address, what you make, typical price range of your makes and some photos of your lovely hand made stuff if you have any. Also, whether you would like a whole or half table!
SE20 Craft Fair tries to encourage new crafters to come and have a try at selling, so please don't be shy - all experience levels are very welcome! Experienced crafters looking to trial new products and new table layouts also very welcome - we are a place to experiment and gain confidence in selling your products! And of course seasoned crafters, we love you too!
What SE20 Craft Fair is not is a slick, professional money making machine - we like it when our crafters have a successful day with lots of sales and we like footfall too! But our emphasis is on enjoyment, creativity, building community links, meeting like-minded people and just generally having a really nice day. Profit is NOT the major focus here - it goes hand in hand with all the community loveliness that we've been building up over the years. There are many professional fairs out there if that's what you are after but we are not that! We're looking for stallholders who totally 'get' what we're about! If you love community and creativity then this is the place for you.
E-mail us at [email protected] to get the ball rolling (we won't ask for payment right away so please don't send any money until prompted!)

Also! I had previously announced that this would be our last SE20 Craft Fair. Well, I may go back on this. Over the next few months I'll be seeking out your opinions on whether you would like to see us carry on (maybe on a yearly basis) and what you think about us starting a mini crowdfunding campaign to raise the monies to keep the fair going. I'm not sure if it's a worthy enough cause to raise money for but then again it seems to make a lot of people in the community happy and surely that's what it's all about? Let me know your thoughts and look out for more discussions on the subject on our social media pages.
